WHY WE USE STAR DELTA WITH INDUCTION MOTOR.

As you know, Usually we use star delta connections/star delta in three phase induction motor but why?
We use star delta in induction motor because of these following reasons are given below.

1. Motor reduce its starting current 3 to 4 times of the direct current and due to which the voltage also drops Hence it cause fewer losses.
   
2. In Star Delta controlling Circuits, Voltage reduces so Current automatically reduce, So the cause of burning of Motor will also reduce.
   
3. In addition, Increase in Starting torque and it prevent motor winding to damage or burn.
