WHAT IS ELECTRIC TRACTION?

Traction means using the electric power for traction purpose. i.e. for railways, trams, trolley. and traction means to use electrical power for these purposes. But, nowadays magnetic traction also used in bullet trains. So basically DC motors are used for electric traction system.
